part 3 Psalms and Kohelet 5-12

Kohelet III, 15
Nothing's new; G-d always looks for the persecuted to save them.
16- very depressing verse; wickedness in the courts and wickedness among the so called righteous. Just like now. We can't trust men's courts and morals
17- The true justice is in the next world, given by G-d. There is a time for everything and those deserving punishment will get it from G-d. Very bad to raise kids or tell anyone that things will always be good for those who keep mitzvot. Here we just make the deposits and withdrawls, but we don't know how to keep the account. We must trust G-d for that.
18- G-d sorts it all out, but people think of themselves as animals. Remeinds me of the sixties when the philosophy was that sex was just another body function, no holiness.
19- In the end everyone and everything dies. Good and bad it makes no difference. King Solomon sounds depressed.
must educate all that there's olam habaa the next world. It's the only comfort. Keeps faith.
20- dust to dust
21- question , strange wording
man goes up, beasts down
G-d will do the accounting in the end
22- conclusion--best to be happy in what one's doing, pleasre in the action of doing, in the now, not to worry about the future. Still basic stuff, first grade, each generation higher and higher, and the older can't fully comprehend so must give them the tools to find their own answers.
Chapter 3 summary
Opens sadly, observes injustices, worse since tried to help, ain menachem internal and external.
Esforno said: people who get themselves in very bad situtations and very hard to get out. like speeding in a car, can't stop so easily, crash when stopping, if there's not enough space. People can't repent quickly, must have help, comfort,
another reason to cry

Next week off for Chanukah.
