I guess that doesn't make sense grammatically, but Marallyn's UPS story makes no sense except to make UPS lots of cents.
To cut to the punchline, a $30- book bought as a present in Canada for Marallyn ended up costing her and her friend a total of over $170, yes that's ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY DOLLARS.
She should have just told them to dump it, even though her friend spent over $90- for "shipping" it via UPS. I'm sure that the postal authority's express service would have been less.
