Don't these flowers look lovely? Yes, I admit that they're old, but how old?
Would you believe that I got them four weeks ago?
I added a bit of bleach to the water, and as usual trimmed the stems, and I added some water periodically. But they don't smell, and some look pretty, ok in a faded way.
Now, I wonder if I'll be given new flowers this week....

Yes, bleach helps preserve roses. An aspirin tablet in the water also works. But you know, you probably won't get new flowers until you throw out the old ones.
Yes, that's what happened. I threw them out and invited the same guest who had given them to me, and now I have some new flowers.
