My "Vacation," Bible Wonderland

No, this wasn't a kiddie theme park based on the TaNa"Ch, Jewish Bible.  There's a fantastic study program in Herzog College.  Thousands (I had been given the number 4,000) people or more have been having a great time studying the Bible.  There are many classes going on simultaneously in Hebrew and English.  The rooms are packed.  Late registrants have been turned away or given no choices.

This was my first time in the program.  Recent years I've been in the states during the Nine Days, when it takes place.  I paid extra for transportation from Shiloh to Gush Etzion.  It was worth the money. Even if we had a car, I'd consider it worth the money.  The comfortable bus meant that I could use my energy concentrating on the high-level lectures.

Next time, I hope to choose from Hebrew lectures, too.  There's a great energy there, and it's easy to stay alert, much easier than I had expected.  Tea, coffee and other nosherei are available between classes.  Lunch is included, too, and the service is so efficient, it's like from another world.  The line sped and there was plenty of food.

I decided not to blog the pros and cons of the various shiurim.  If someone wants to ask about a specific one, please just email me. thanks

Many of my relatives, friends, and neighbors go every year - including this one. I haven't yet had the privilege, but there's always next year IY"H...

Amazing to see pictures of men learning from women Torah scholars. Reason #551 to make aliyah!!!

Some of the Matan courses also have men in the audience listening to female scholars.
