against all odds
again
I've found myself
a new profession

was about time
every few years
slight adjustments
to my occupations

keep the Gemini
in me
challenged
and stimulated

but this one
never expected
more of an
artist with words

than painting
sculpting
or even
beautifying a room

can still picture
in my mind
the pathetic painting
attempted in oil
when young

my second oil
painted as a gift
was sent back

hangs in
the front
guest

early warnings
"Don't waste film"
still echo
loudly in my mind

but only
I hear it

certainly not
the one who bought
the photo
I shot
