Tonight I went off with friends to pay a "shiva call;" that's a condolence call.
The apartment was in a chareidi (very extremely religious) neighborhood and so different from our homes here in Shiloh. It's not like we're in mansions, but our homes are mostly small, modest and functional. But they seem very roomy compare to the place we went in. It was all neat, clean and a place for everything and everything in its place. Each room was used for more than one purpose. When needed over a dozen people could sleep there. It was hard for us to imagine. We've gotten so spoiled, but there are families, large families that live in apartments no larger than the one we saw.
I guess they have less junk, less clutter. It's a good idea!
