The Black Cat
According to the goyishe culture which influenced my childhood, black cats are a sign of bad luck. This one is a neighbor, and I don't think that Jewish lore has such superstitions.
If it does, I'm in trouble. I have two black cats (both of whom were rescued) and they seem to be good luck so far... ;-)
