There's no privacy any more. Cameras can zoom and focus on us from high in the sky. Then via Google anyone can see what we might have thought private. This article in the NY Times is frightening.
Anything out of doors, on a terrace or by the window may be in their sights.
Google says that they've received few complaints or requests to take pictures off the web. They claim that as justification for their "service." But the truth is that most people don't know that they may be visible for all the world to see. Even if we search, we'll type in our address or place of work. But we won't be able to check if we went someplace we don't want the world to see or met someone we'd rather keep secret. Even if it's as innocent as buying a special gift for a spouse or child, we would prefer some privacy.
Maybe it would help to remember that G-d sees us more than Google does, so at least if we lived according to G-d's will, we'd have less worries concerning Google.
