Great News!

Yes, great news for coffee drinkers!!!
We no longer have to feel guilty about drinking a few cups of coffee everyday. According to Jane Body of the New York Times, it seems like coffee is actually a good thing to drink.
This makes me feel much better about my favorite drink.
Am I the only blogger who starts the day with two whopping big mugs of coffee when on the computer?

  1. I've seen you use that picture about three times on posts. I know there's always an interesting angle when you are showing us that pic.

Note there was a study where they *thought* coffee was bad, but then they had it confused with smoking. Moral is look for multiple studies before being convinced. (and even then...)

I'm glad the anti-oxidants in my coffee are boosting something in my health. Enjoy every drop.

  2. Three times!? Oy, but I really wish I could just make my coffee here by the computer. Even better, it should be waiting for me, with a little milk and sugar...

I went through non-coffeed years, but I stopped depriving myself, and now they say it doesn't damage health.

I usually drink 3 cups first thing in the morning, then one more at work at 10 and one after lunch.

  4. Sounds like what I'd be doing if I had a real job. Do you drink instant or stronger?

  5. I never drank coffee until... I moved to Israel and began working here. Then it was everybody drinking coffee all the time, one big caffeine high, and so.... I joined them. But I try to keep it down to two cups a day, preferrably from Hillel coffee, and made in my own mug, to reduce throwing away yet another paper cup.

Since I've been in the U.S., I sure miss my Hillel coffee!

  6. It's amazing how different the coffees are. When I was in NY, it was at my parents when I began customizing it. My sil has a coffee-maker which grinds the beans and then immediately brews them. Fantastic! My husband's cousin has a different type, a pre-measured container, of a choice of flavors, which is then put in the coffee machine, no muss no fuss.

I tried to save on the outrageous amount I was spending in restaurants by not having coffee out. Actually, here, too, I avoid buying coffee in a restaunt unless it's part of package deal. I can make great coffee at home for a fraction of the price.
