The Cats' Meow!
The other day a neighbor called and asked if I had a little time. She was hoping that I would come over and take a picture of her cat and dog playing together. Unfortunately, I wasn't yet "decent" and couldn't go out.
When I can, I do take pictures of animals. Here are some cats:
Sweet. I'm a cat lover. I had a cat as a little girl.
On my first trip to Jerusalem in 1980 to visit my aunt, I remember her warning me not to touch the cats. I wasn't used to the idea of cats as disease-carriers. They were always the cuddly neighborhood pals.
We used to have cats. Your aunt was right. Most Israeli cats are strays and who knows what diseases they have. When my youngest was in the army, he once tried to rescue a cat caught in a net. He needed rabies shots and antibiotics.
