Question About Delta Airlines
My friend was given tickets Israel to CA from someone who told here that he couldn't get kosher food for her from Atlanta to California. Could this be so?
yeh, domestic flights within the US that i've been on recently only have food for purchase so it's not like you can request kosher. if there happens to be something kosher, fine. otherwise, take food with you.
after our flight from australia (loooong) we didn't have meals from LA to Baltimore - had to make do with food we brought with us or whatever we could find in the airport (where were delayed a while too). first meal after a long flight like that includes a big salad!
In my experience, you can't get kosher food for the inside-USA flights
ReplyDeleteThanks, that's awful! How is someone supposed to manage, especially since you can't bring fruit and vegetables from Israel?

ReplyDeleteIt wasn't like that in the 20th century.
nope, it was different back in the good old days!
ReplyDeleteDo you think that my friend can bring yogurt, or do they consider it a liquid like toothpaste?
ReplyDeleteI think that the only airline that provides kosher food for Domestic flights is Continental, but only for coast to coast flights.
ReplyDeleteyoghurt will be considered liquid.
ReplyDeleteRivkA, DTC, thanks for the added input. Coast to coast is such a distance, they really ought to have proper meals and real kosher options.
