Yaaqov has filled the gap and is hosting another Havel Havelim. He calls his blog ESSER AGAROTH, ten agoroth (an agora equals a hundredth of a shekel) because it was the value of two cents when he began blogging. The shekel has gone up and the dollar down since then. Seven or SHEVA AGAROTH is more accurate today. Yaaqov, please forgive this tangent. This CPA's daughter just can't stop calculating...

Yes, but do they still have little coins with holes in the middle for making calls at pay phones? The engraving was of a round telephone dial. I wonder what Israeli kids would think of that?
ReplyDeleteEd, I haven't seen an assimon for quite a while. With the popularity of cellphones, few people use public phones and many of the remaining take money.
