"Don't you hear the rain?"In all honesty, I didn't. The music and announcments coming out of the loudspeaker from Rami Levi sort of deafen me, and I was concentrating on the customers and guarding against shoplifters. Within seconds our strong male staff members were going into "bring it all in" mode, like before closing but more complicated.
It was Thursday night, the busiest night of the week. Customers who had just checked out stayed under the roof near where I was working. They were waiting for a break in the rain to go to their cars or bus stop.
Children who had just bought umbrellas were overjoyed to be able to open and stand under them.
As you can see in the pictures, both Jews and Arabs waited together in a good mood. We all know how important the rain is.
