Sport, a Two Way Street
One of the great things about the Israeli (American) football games we go to is the reaction of the players after the game is over. The Jerusalem Big Blue Lions always thank their fans.
Ruti, thanks. They are great kids, like all those you know who play football here in Israel. I think they started the custom last year. By the end of one cold, rainy game this year, only one fan (my elder son) was left in the bleachers cheering, and they ran up to him calling his name! Derech Eretz is the real winner.
I was so moved by this. Nice, nice midot, boys! And very Jewish: we are all about hoda'ah.
