כנס צהר Tzohar Kenes (Conference) a good way to see what the "dati le'umi," aka the mainstream Orthodox community in Israel is like. Attendees were of all ages, though more grandparents than young parents. Most of the women covered their hair with scarves of all sorts and most of the men wore crocheted kippot. The entrance fee included a sandwich and hot and cold drinks. Besides the various sessions, some of which were in English, there were all sorts of things for sale, from books, to women's hats and Judaica too.
