This week's riches of blog carnivals must be to remind me that I have two to prepare. One is the debut of Blogging About Losing Weight and the other is the February Kosher Cooking Carnival.
It's all about food, isn't it. That includes another Carnival of the Recipes. And lastly, at least for this morning, is the Carnival of Education. Enjoy them both!

Education, The Carnival

OK, not that kind. Not the kind that makes me think, at times, that my classroom is more like a zoo. I'm referring to the blogging kind of carnival, which is like a "floating" magazine.
I'm sure you'll enjoy the latest Carnival of Education. Pay a visit, and don't forget to tell them who sent you!

Networking With The Greats
There has been anarchy in one of my classes. When teenage boys go wild, I'm not going to endanger my health. But one thing I must do is to blog about it and send the post to The Carnival of Education and get the advice of teachers from all over the world.
Here's the latest edition.

Nothing's Perfect
I've been heard umpteen times complaining about education here and now, but actually, no place has what I remember.
I'm reminded of that every time I read the Carnival of Education. There are so many great posts linked this week. It certainly gives a different perspective when reading about what goes on in other parts of the world.
ps take a gander; there are some great posts in "coe."

Making a better world for the next generation
If only the teacher-bloggers were running the schools. There's more common sense in The latest Carnival of Education than I hear from our Minister of Education.

Education and Family Life The Carnivals

Being a finalist in three* categories in JIB Awards hasn't dulled my appreciation of blog carnivals. I still think they're the best way of utilizing the medium of blogging.
As taught in Pirkei Avot, Ethics of the Fathers, "the wise man learns from everyone."
It all starts in the family, so here's the latest Carnival of Family Life.
And at some point, we all send our children out for others to educate. Here's NYC Educator's Carnival of Education.

Vacation time!

I didn't mention this yesterday, but I'm already on vacation, Passover Vacation. That's because today is my day off, and tomorrow my students have to clean their dorm rooms and then the whole school is closed until after Passover, at least another three weeks, and since we don't usually return towards the end of the week, I'm not quite sure when I'll be back to work. The bad news is that I have no excuse not to clean, except that I hate doing it, and my knees can't take all the bending etc and my back, too. But I'll do whatever I have to really do.

And talking about "education," school, work etc
take a gander at the Carnival of Education! It's a really good one this week, and we're included.

Crazy Dream
The latest Carnival of Education is up, and it really has some great posts, so take a gander. When I saw it, I remembered that I had a very peculiar dream last night.
Yes, it was about work, and as a woke up from it, I kept telling myself that I had to blog it. As the sun goes higher in the sky, the dream seems less relevant for the blog, but I wonder what it all means. So if you're good at interpreting dreams, please help me out.
I teach in the English Room, not the homeroom classes, and that's the setting of the dream.
When I walked into the room, I noticed that they had fixed up some things and put up a new white blackboard, and then I took a look and realized that the board wasn't new, it had just been moved to the back wall. That meant that there was no white blackboard in the front of the room for me to write on.
I then ran out to find someone to complain to, but the person I found thought it was funny...
I could use my usual cups of water and then delicious coffee, but it's a fast day, Ta'anit Ester, the Fast of Esther was move up, since Purim is on Sunday. I'm terribly thirsty; I think that the mouth rinse the dentist gave me has salts in it. The beginning of a fast is always the worst for me.
kvetch, kvetch and more kvetch
