The Jerusalem Teachers Strike Demonstration

I was at yesterday's demonstration demanding better conditions, true reform, higher wages and smaller classes.

I agree that teachers deserve what they are asking for but, have you really considered what this strike is doing to the students? How are the students going to make up all the work that they are missing while you are out on strike? Do the teachers really think the strike is in the best interest of their students or themselves? Maybe you should consider alternative methods of getting your point across without harming the students you profess to care about.

That's the guilt-trip the teachers are sensitive to. I've taught in other frameworks, and the curriculum could be covered more quickly under better conditions.

What "alternative methods" would you suggest?

The government isn't interested in good education, just cheaper and longer hours, so that fewer kids will be transfered into the Shas and other religious networks.
