This ice in the street is from water lost when a pipe burst due to the fact that they are freezing at night, and then when the sun comes up, the heat is so strong that the pipes burst. Our infrastructure was not made for the present climatic conditions. I took the picture mid-morning, when I was certain that it was no longer freezing, but it was.
Reports from Jerusalem tell of many, many people being without water, since they have to turn off the supply because of leaks.
Plumbers are very busy.
There's frost every where.

Regarding freezing pipes
if this is unusual weather...
is Israel under direct chemtrails?
Purposed weather modification
Also, reported to cause other destructive outcomes for Humans and nature
I don't know what a "chemtrail" is, but the cause is the humidity, or lack of it to be precise. When we have our normal winter humidity it's rare for there not to be heavy clouds/fog in the morning. That way the outdoor/exposed pipes warm up slowly. This winter is very dry, so the sun heats it up quickly, brutally, and they burst.
Why is there no humidity, no rain? Our Bible and Sages say we get the rain from G-d, according to our behavior. When we have a government which offers our Holy Land to our enemies, don't expect G-d to give us proper rainfall.
I remember from living in New England as a child - on freezing days you had to leave the water tap dripping all night, the moving water doesn't freeze. (Something must be wrong with my memory, because it was ALWAYS freezing there, all winter the ground was covered with snow.) Maybe the snow insulated the pipes, and the dripping water was for when there was no snow?
Our neighbors on both sides had burst pipes from their "dud shemesh" this morning. For some reason our pipes didn't freeze, not that we let them drip. (I just rememberd that this morning.)
But our whole street didn't have water this morning for a few hoours, because one of the main pipes burst.
I think/hope it is going to be a little warmer tonight!
Israel...ice....does not compute!
Sara, we did the same as you on freezing days.
sara g, on my daughter's street, people who left their water dripping Friday night weren't immune. We've been leaving the boiler on. I heard that main lines in Jerusalem cracked and burst.
ellie, it does get freezing and even snows in the mountains of Israel. That's Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria. And of course in a normal year there's snow on the Hermon.
