Why?

Every morning, very early, soon after I have everything set up on the computer, and I'm checking mail, blogging, etc. Suddenly, an "announcement" that Explorer has to "close down." Sometimes I actually do "lose" things, and sometimes it's just time, having to open programs/whatever again.

But why?
