One of those brutally shot down was a 16 year old boy from Shiloh, Yonatan Eldar, HaYa"D. Friday afternoon there was an enormous funeral.
Yonatan had just celebrated his 16th Birthday. He was born during a massive snowstorm. The roads were closed for a number of days. Three women in the area were due with babies. The army decided that as soon as one goes into labour, all three would be helicoptered out to a hospital. This year, sixteen years later, it was unseasonably hot.
The Jewish month of Adar is known for contrasts, opposites.

So sad...
We all know how in Adar everything gets turned upside down. But never could we have expected things to turn upside down in such a horrendous way. May Hashem give the strength to the families of the victims to deal with their loss.
I'm deeply disturbed by what happened to the students--and extremely annoyed that there was so little coverage in the USA media.
I'm so sad for the families and friends of these young men.
There was a nice article in the NYTimes, but not political, just human. I hadn't realized that there wasn't the coverage and outrage that such a massecre deserved.
