Shalom! The "shirt off of my back" is worth a dollar? I'm not sure what the artist is expressing. I'd have to know more about him/her in order to form an opinion. Money - and inflation as Shy Guy mentioned, clothes, appearances, and even the concept of folding have so many connotations.
