Me? Organized? Not Really

It's so funny.  At work they call me organized and prepared.  I don't think of myself like that.  I know how much I don't get done.  I know what a mess my house is.  I know the truth about myself.

But the people who see me at work see another person.  They see the old lady who always comes with food to eat.  I like to eat, and I don't have the money nor time to eat out. I know that I won't function without the right food.  I have routines that I stick to, and those routines include preparing food to bring to work.

I'm also one of the only workers who always has a shirt with the store logo to wear. That's not because I'm organized.  It's because I don't have money to buy new clothes.  I get the work outfit for free, so it's what I wear to work.  That's not being "organized."  I certainly get dressed before going to work, so on a workday I dress in work clothes. And I always take a backpack, which has a work jacket if I'm coming from someplace else.  And on cold days I have extra work jackets to keep adding on to stay warm.  And if I'm still cold I take another jacket from work and get the logo put on.  That's how I'm up to three.  Yes, at work I look much fatter than I really am.

If I was really organized I'd get a lot more done in my life.

Who is organised then? I think we as women often set ourselves perfection as a standard to reach....and who can? I am now retired. When I worked, I tried to be organised too. Now I am not working, the same stuff could fill the day, that I did evenings. I just don't let it, so i can spend time learning and visiting museums etc. Life is for living. You work hard long hours and so let the stuff that doesn't really matter...go. Be well! I love your blog!Shiloh is on my list to visit on my next Israel trip.

Sandra, thanks so much. I appreciate your words. You're right about how when we have little to do, our days still feel pretty full. May we always feel busy and not bored...

Let me know when you're coming!
