The biggest news this week in the jblogging world is that the very popular blogger, Chaviva has just made aliyah.

For all the NbN-bashing going around, I think they do a good job publicity-wise - in terms of putting a contemporary, well-known and fun "face" on aliyah. I'm thinking of Jamie Geller as well. Not that it IS or HAS to be fun, I know all that. Still: it helps for us and our families to see the core sanity behind this decision, not just from those who are there already (hence already presumably "brainwashed"!), but average clear-sighted North Americans whom we already like and admire.
Jennifer, "NbN-bashing?" Why? I guess they are finally considered "establishment." They were great three years ago helping me to organize my father's aliyah over Succot, when they were on vacation.
Chavi is a publicity natural as is Jamie, so it's good that they are using their talents and skills for aliyah and living in Israel now.
