Another Month, Winter is on its Way

Today is both the last day of the Jewish Month of Tishrei and the beginning of the month of Cheshvan.  Rosh Chodesh is a two day affair.  This happens to some of the months some of the time.

In recent weeks, since the Succot holiday, there has been a definite change in the weather.  It's more humid and gets colder at night. In addition, daylight hours seem to be shrinking rapidly.

In another hour or so,  friends and I will go to Tel Shiloh for Rosh Chodesh Prayers.

There will also be a visitor from afar, who made the pilgrimage from the north by bus.  She will no doubt blog about her adventure to Shiloh on her way home.

Chodesh Tov!  May it be full of blessings, smachot, joyous occasions, blessed rain and good health for all.
