Just Curious, How Kosher is This?

Next to the very crowded and not so tasty "Kosher Delight" on 46th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues I found a lovely looking cafe` that had a sign in the window saying it's kosher.  Does anyone know anything about it?

People are telling me to be careful of kashrut in Jerusalem....that not all kashrut certificates are ok. Is this true?

a, in Jerusalem, there are places that claim kashrut, though they're open on Shabbat. I think the Conservative movement gives them some certification. The Rabanut is stricter. We go with Rabbanut.

This is the supervision of Rabbi Steinberg. I don't trust the Hashgocho of the Cup K.

Thanks, too bad. It's a very nice place.

Why do you trust Miss Anonymous about Hashgochot, when you don't know anything about her -not even her name?
Wouldn't it instead make more sense to believe or at least talk to Rabbi Steinberg, who is not hiding anything about himself and listed his phone number for you to speak to him directly?

You write that the restaurant "is a very nice place" , so why not give the rabbi at least the basic courtesy which any other person is entitled to?

Lshem, I don't live in NY. I thought the letter looked legit. The comment is a comment and I don't know who you are, either.

ps a good friend whom I usually consult, but didn't that day, said she wouldn't eat there. Maybe she's the "a."
