Tonight our little Shiloh Cinema Club saw Barbra Streisand's Yentl.
I had never seen the movie before and found it terribly out of date. Today women can study Torah, Talmud, everything. I'm taking a course in Matan where there are great women scholars.
The movie is based on an old Singer story. He liked strange love triangles, and this is one of them. I think that for him the sex aspect, innocence and temptation were paramount.
