Recessive? My foot!
There's a light article in the NYT about An Alternate Universe Where Beautiful People Have Repulsive Babies (and picture credit).
Oh, come on. Recessive? My foot!
Don't tell me you've forgotten how much plastic surgery all those "beautiful people" have underwent!
Look at their lips, noses, chins, cheekbones! And don't forget the colored lenses to "highlight" the blue G-d forgot to put in their eyes! I'm not even discussing their hair, its color, texture, thickness etc.
It doesn't matter how much they pay the plastic surgeon and how deeply he cuts, he can't change their genes. And the children inherit the genes, the natural looks, not the surgically "corrected."
It probably isn't a recessive gene that gave the beauty's child a large nose and recessive chin. If you check the parents' pictures from "before," it'll be clear that the ugly child inherited the dominant genes.
So, either the parents will see beauty in their child's looks, or they'll start surgery as young as possible.
And about the real Shiloh Pitt, I certainly hope she looks better from different angles. (baby Shiloh Pitt, photo credit)
Pictures show that Shiloh's mother certainly had more than G-d's help to create her present looks.
